[location: John Everton's House] [OPEN TO ALL!] BLOCK PARTY!!!
The time had come. Charlotte left John in charge of setting up the bar, giving him only the one request that he have a decent selection of beer, and did the work of dialing up the food. She knew she was going way over board. For all she knew no one might show up, even though she'd gotten a bit of a response to her invite. How could people resist, though. Food, drink, Dean's music, kittens? Okay, and an ex-vampire, but that wasn't his fault.
Pushing that thought away, she continued laying out the food and the carefully crafted warding spells that would protect it from the kittens. They had been given run of most of the patio, but not the yard, and not the food area. That meant they'd still be popping in and out of people's laps, but at least they wouldn't do it to plates.
When everything was ready, Charlotte ran up to change into skinny jeans, a crisp white button down and a ridiculously shiny pair of cowboy boots. Not unlike Dawn, not that she knew it, Charlotte was having too much fun with the fashion options the replicators afforded. Properly armored for the event, she headed back to the patio to wait for their first guests.
OOC: This is an open event, folks, anyone should feel free to tag in, even if they just discover the party. Start a new thread with a label if you want or just tag in on another thread. Feel free to hop around, too. IT'S A PARTY, PEOPLE! Also, this will go on as long as people are interested, so backtag all ya like. We know people will be in and out all weekend. Have fun, drink all the booze.

She nodded politely. "It's nice to meet you."
They seemed friendly enough and it's not like they were bombarding her with doozens of questions that would lead to her sob story. Really wouldn't want to bring the party down like that. At least wait till they were drunk. As if on cue, her stomach rumbled a little and her cheeks flushed.
"Shit, I'm sorry," She muttered.

"You looking to starve us, Mr. and Mrs. Host?" Dean jokes easily, sipping his beer.
no subject
With that, John makes his escape, a plan now firmly set in his mind. Make food.
no subject
She was very glad John was gone and couldn't hear her babbling about it.

"But you are together, right? If you don't mind my asking. Fuck, that's rude of me. Hasn't even been five minutes yet," Cassie sighed, giving Charlotte an apologetic look.
no subject
"You thought right," Dean replies, grinning at Cassie. Charlotte, though? Her reaction's a bit weird, and Dean raises an eyebrow at her. So they aren't married, but they've got to be together, considering the whole kissing thing he'd walked into earlier.
"Yeah, they're together. I think. Unless I'm completely wrong, but that's only on rare occasions," Dean remarks, still watching Charlotte. "How about we get the answer from Ms. Host, herself?"

"I keep being a pain in the ass. Anyone mind showing me where the drinks are? I was a fucking idiot and forgot to hatch myself a water bottle as I was driving around," Cassie asked.
no subject
She turned to Dean. "Would you take Cassie out and show her around, maybe introduce her to some of the less intimidating guests? And then maybe give John a hand with the grill?" She smirked. "I know that's a man thing."
no subject
And he'll be escorting Cassie to the drinks, if she'll be letting him. C'mon, Cassie, let Dean treat you like a lady.
no subject
What's this 'lady' Dean speaks of? Surely, Cassie is not one of these. They have big, fluffy dresses and hair that was not fixed by natural means.
"You keepin' outta trouble?" Cassie asked Dean, having not seen him in several days.
no subject
"Yeah, mostly. Had an epidemic of angels-turned-human, but other than that." Dean replies. He doesn't even mention his hand, which is still in a cast. It's on the arm that's currently holding his beer and not looped in Cassie's, so she'll probably notice it.
no subject
She notices the cast when he lifts the beer to his mouth, taking a drink. "Get in a bar fight?" Cassie questioned with a small smirk, eyebrow still arched.
no subject
The mention of the cast on his arm makes him grimace, but only for a second. He glances at her and flashes her his best, charming smile. "Something like that."
no subject
She notices the grimace and bites the inside of her cheek. "Bet the other guy got worse than your hand, huh?" She asked with a smirk, glancing to find where the drinks were, not exactly close enough to Dean to be snagging sips of his beer. Besides, Cassie isn't really much of a drinker.
no subject
Oh, Cassie, if you only knew.
Dean actually got beat up by a wall.He gives a chuckle and nudges her. "Damn straight. Guy got the beating of his life."He'd share if she reached for his beer. She doesn't, though, so Dean leads her to the table that's got the drinks laid out on it. "Take your pick."
no subject
At the drinks, she reaches forward, releasing his arm to pick up a bottle of orange soda, twisting the cap off, taking several long swigs. By the time she's finished, a good fourth of the bottle is gone and what's funny is that she doesn't care that Dean just saw her chug like she'd just come in from the desert. "Ah," Cassie says with a small grin, glancing over at Dean.
"Hey, uh, my engine's sputtering a little when I speed up, you mind taking a look one of these days?" Cassie asked. It's not like they had a mechanic they could take their vehicles to. And Cassie knew next to nothing about how the engine ran.
no subject
Dean will be watching as she downs the soda, and even if she did care, she wouldn't have to worry. That was impressive. Dean is totally amused and impressed all in one neat little package, and he snorts when she says that. "Part camel, huh?" He teases, grinning.
Also, Cassie? You just made his day.
"Yeah, sure. Lemme know when a good time is and I'll give it a look over." Dean replies, grinning widely. Awesome, a chance to get to mess with a car that's not his. He loves his baby, but he knows her inside and out. A new car actually presents a challenge.
no subject
"Daytime, clearly. Within the next few days, if it gets worse, I'll scream at you on the tablets," Cassie replied with her own grin.
no subject
He's glancing around the party too; he knows quite a few people here, the result of nosiness, mostly. And he's thinking Cassie needs to get out in the open.
"Yeah, alright. I'll hunt you down soon. Might not be tomorrow, since I don't do hangovers well." He links his arm in hers again, and tugs her gently in the direction of the people.
"C'mon. Ms. Host told me I'm supposed to be introducing you, so that's what I'm gonna do."
no subject
"Nah, definitely not tomorrow," Cassie said, breathing a small laugh at his linking arms again. "I wouldn't torture you like that."
When he tugs her in the direction of the strangers, she's a little hesitant, biting the inside of her cheek to keep from protesting. "Oh boy. New people," She mutters, looking a little less than anxious.
no subject
giggling like a little girlchuckling."Soda's the best for that. I'll work on it," Dean remarks. He's still grinning when she lets him link arms again. She doesn't look too thrilled at the prospect of meeting new people, so Dean nudges her. "Loosen up, sweetheart, or the other kids are gonna be just as stiff."
He's completely at ease, and he's hoping she'll follow his example. Now, who to talk to...
no subject
He noticed her nervousness. She was hoping he wouldn't. Buuuuut, he did. Glancing over at him, a glimmer of vulnerability. "Kinda hard to, given how I'm not really the social butterfly you are," Cassie muttered, trying to take a deep breathe and exhale slowly. She took another long sip of her orange soda.

It's a Kaylee, completely with beer bottle accessory.
