To some, a familiar voice and memorable face - albeit one they haven't even thought about for quite some time - crackles into view on their screens.
"What the flamin' hell is goin' on in?! Where the hell did all this snow come from? And where the hell are all the damn hatch-maker things?"
His face looks strained, as if he's recently awakened from a long, heavy sleep that was somehow not all that restful.

Madelyne sounds somewhat shocked and maybe a little relieved to hear his voice. "Where are you?" She's about to ask if he's okay in the cold when she realizes that out of everyone she knows, he might be the best suited for it here.
no subject
He's still disoriented.
"I went to get a beer, turned around, and suddenly it's the goddamned Arctic..."
no subject
Madelyne takes a breath in through her nose to calm a bit, "The cold is new but it is getting close to Arctic cold. It was Alaska cold not long ago."

"Come to think of it..." he adds, blinking a few times in recollection. "... I think the hamsters mighta dropped me on their lab table for a while. Then again, got so many memories of faceless assholes doin' that to me, it can get a bit jumbled..."
Goddamned memory implant bullshit.
"You somewhere safe?"
no subject
She pauses, "And I've been hearing wolves."
no subject
"Where are you now?"
no subject
"The howls are coming from the north, though."
no subject
Logan then starts to head toward the garage, muttering a bit.
"Gotta be a snowmobile somewhere in this place. Prepared for anything..."

It's what passes for a 'welcome back' from these quarters. A few minutes after:
I imagine you don't need help digging yourself out. -SH

"Changing flaming hell to freezing hell and you pretty much got the sum of it, whoever you are."
[visual]
"You new, or have I been out of it for too long?"
[visual]
"I'm new, yeah. Or so everyone keeps telling me. Personally I think you are all figments of my imagination, but, I always kinda figured my imagination would feature more scantily-clad women, so hey."
[visual]
"My gang is the X-Men. I'm the only one with a bike. What's your deal?"
no subject
"The X-Men? Okay, now that sounds like a porno film company. TRIPLE-X-MEN. Clearly you are appealing to the uh, bear audience."
He shrugs at the question of his 'deal'. "I'm... here? Probably in a coma or something back in the real world. I make mean fajitas. I don't have a motorcycle. Can I be one of the Triple-X-Men?"
no subject
"Nothin' porn about the X-Men. X-gene makes us mutants. Gives us shit like this," he adds, punctuating it with an unsheathing of his claws.
"They're good for cuttin' people's guts open, they get too lippy."
no subject
Words trail off when the claws pop out. Jeremy just stares for about four seconds, another wisecrack half-dead on his lips, and then the tablet view skews wildly as he jumps to his feet and drops the tablet in a clatter.
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT THE HELL?" comes his voice.
no subject
"You'll run into a lot o' that here, bub. Get used to it."

"It is damned cold and when they rearranged the city, took a bunch of people away and made us not realize a bunch of people were missing, they took the hatches and gave us the ability to pay each other."
no subject
"Slow down there. What do you mean, they rearranged the city? Nothin's where it used to be?"
no subject
no subject
"What's the point of goin' there, aside from stavin' off the stir-crazy?"

There's one of those cigars of his, heading to his lips and smoldering.
"Weren't you gonna move into this joint? We got high-end heatin' and coolin' systems, which ya kinda need when you've got students and faculty who make a habit of flingin' around fire and ice."
no subject
"I was going to before this place made me forget you existed."
