The tablet gives an image of... Paul Smecker, looking slightly disheveled, and Glitch looking seriously disheveled, as well as bleeding from scratches on his face. Both of them are rather damp although Glitch is fairly water-logged.

"--just fucking hold still and let me check you for--"

"--this is more important--"

"Alright, you talk, I check for concussions, genius--"

Glitch clears his throat and addresses the city via Paul's tablet. "We have a situation. There's... some sort of monster, I suppose, running loose-- ugly yellow-- ow! careful-- ugly yellow thing with... horns, fangs, claws--"

Glitch breaks off into a fit of coughing. He's cradling one hand with the other. Behind him, his shop can be seen-- with black smoke pouring from the roof. Paul grabs the tablet back while pushing a water bottle at Glitch.

"Yeah, I guess whatever the fuck did that to his shop is loose and screwing around. He-- what?"

(Glitch and Paul both talk for the next ten seconds, making what either of them is saying indistinguishable. Finally Paul looks back to the tablet.)

"--okaaaay, I guess it, he, was wearing a prisoner bracelet and he, uh, speaks in rhyme. The fuck, Glitch?"

"I'm not making that up! Here, give it back!"

Paul sighs, and hands the tablet over again.

"--fucking christ, is that it?" Paul's voice cuts in worriedly next, the question more aimed at Glitch than actually transmitting. "The thing that sounds like it smokes more than me?"

Locking transmission sounds like a GREAT idea right now. He quickly punches buttons to open a secure call to Selina.

"Okay, this thing's from your world then? Fanfuckingtastic, how do we get rid of it?"

"That...would be it, yes," Glitch replies and has more water. "And it has Sherlock's tablet which probably means it's done something to him."

And by something he's thinking mutilated horribly, it's the best explanation he can think of for why they haven't heard from him since news of his "double" came out.

"I don't know. I'm guessing it has something to do with Jason and magic. Are there any other people here with magic..? Or demon powers or something?"

Selina shrugs a little, "I'll tell you, he knows me, though."

"Shit," says Paul with feeling, and rubs at his forehead. "Az is gone. Lupin-- you know, werewolf dude, maybe? Fuck me, I don't know who's magicky and not-- Willow and Tara are gone, and Doc Magnus, and Deeg..."

Thinking of the people who aren't here to fix this is not remotely useful. If Holmes is already down, that means this thing's happy to kill. Greeeeeeat.

"Knows you?"

"Yeah. Blood knows a lot about people in my life, so he knows a decent amount about me. I'd say the Demon at least has that level of knowledge, if he hasn't magic-ed up more," Selina says with a small shrug. It seems like a casual gesture but the fact that she's explaining this shows that she's not at all feeling casual about this situation.

Paul thinks about the graffiti. Paul thinks about all the things the graffiti had implied, and about what Kyle's saying, and then he swears-- to himself, although it's probably still audible.

"Mothersucking ball-busting felching shitwheels."

More loudly, "So you're saying mister Coyote Ugly can just magically.... know things about us?"

"Seriously, what about 'magic' didn't you catch when I said it? Really, while it has structure as far as I'm concerned magic is just another word for cheating," she says with something of a smirk. Not that she's against cheating, she's just against cheating she can't use. Different levels of cheating.

"I'm also saying that he has a serious head start on me."

"Seriously, what about 'not everyone here comes from worlds where magic is even a thing' is lost on you jackasses from the super-worlds?" is Paul's short answer.

"Fine. Okay. It sounds like he has a pretty big head-start on all of us. This day gets better and better. You got any idea what he wants? What does he do, in your world?"

"It is magic. No one fucking understands it unless they're so deep in it, it comes out of their pores. Magic. I could say miracles or unexplainable reality bending and it means the same thing," Selina says, snapping back at him in about the same tone.

"He taunts. He burns. He does demon things and laughs about how clever he is."

Paul bites back on about a dozen things he could say to that. Now is so not the time.

"I'm getting the impression you're worried or something."

"Demons aren't really something I like tangling with when I have people that I can call," Selina says pressing her lips together.

"So, yeah, I'm a little worried."
