fifteen | various notes around Taxon | visual | location: central
Several notes have been left around Taxon over the last few days.
For Fred >> An electronic cart has been folded up and is leaning against the door. There is a note.
HC Clements
Bring the Drill
For Rose >> A note:
I'm okay.
Please take care of yourself.
Love, D
For Tara >> A note:
I'm sorry about before.
HC Clements. Tomorrow.
For Fitz >> A map of Taxon, with a segment of woods circled, and a circle around HC Clements. Also, a note:
Tomorrow.
Once all are delivered, the Doctor plants himself in a nondescript alley in central, smooths out his hair, and flips on the tablet to visual. He grins madly at the camera.
Of course, right before he opens his mouth to speak, music begins playing. Ah, it's that old familiar tune, the first bars to "All By Myself". The Doctor feels the music tug at his heartstrings, and he opens his mouth and says:
"No, I'm serious. I'm not singing that, stop it."
He says it with enough force, that an Extra walking behind him stops and turns to stare at him. The Doctor focuses on the tablet.
"So, rumors of my disappearance have been greatly exaggerated, of course," he says, all smug and self-satisfied, as per usual.
The Extra behind the Doctor picks up a pipe from the ground and starts towards him. The Doctor, focused on the tablet, doesn't notice.
"But! Since the Council, or whatever you call it, is doing such a fantastic job of keeping law and order, I think I might give the citizens of Taxon a head's up about the actual threat around this place."
The Extra is now right behind the Doctor, and it raises the pipe above its head.
The Doctor continues. "You should really look out for---"
The Extra slams the pipe down, and the screen goes suddenly static, then fizzes back to the Doctor, struggling with the strangely violent Extra. The Extra smacks him across the face and he falls over, out of camera range.
OOC: To those whom he's left a note, you're welcome to just meet him at HC Clements after or prior to the events with this Extra.

Deadman On Location
Re: Deadman On Location
"That was rather lucky," he says. "Come on! He'll be back!"

[He won't find us this way.] There are enough side streets that the decision tree of where they could and will turn is complex enough that it is highly unlikely that they'll be trailed.

"They shouldn't behave like that!" he says. "They're always so---so empty!"

But she decides that it doesn't matter. If he wants to make up, she can't deny him the chance. She can at least hear him out. She's in transit during his broadcast, which means she's more than a little alarmed when she finally gets there, running.
Re: [Location | HC Clements]
He hobbles to the door just as he sees Tara running towards him. Despite how much he, once again, hurts, he smiles over to her.
"My favorite savior," he says.

Re: [Location | HC Clements]
Flippancy is, as always, one of his biggest defense mechanisms. He becomes more serious, because this is Tara, and she deserves that. "I couldn't stay their prisoner forever, Tara. People are disappearing. People are vanishing without any trace and no one is doing anything to stop it."

She wraps her arms around herself, maybe so she wouldn't be tempted to do anything, or maybe just for support. "Or that the Master had done something," she adds, softly. She hadn't said it to Rose, but she'd thought of it.

She turns her tablet on again, finally, just in time to see that he wasn't gone after all, and just in time to watch in horror as he's attacked. "Doctor!"
Re: [Visual]
"Mabel!" he calls out when he hears her voice. "Something's wrong!"

Re: [Visual]
"Central!" he calls. "Near Camelot!"
He swings the bin lid towards the Extra, and it dodges his blow then goes in to attack again.

Fred packs the drill into the cart and makes her way over as quickly as possible. The building is both imposing and beautiful, reminding her a bit of Wolfram and Hart. "Hello?" she asks, as she enters the building?. "Anyone here?" She keeps her eyes sharp as she looks for him.
Re: [Location: HC Clements]
"Hello," he says, giving her a wave. "Sorry about vanishing before, bit nervous I was going to be tracked down. Doesn't look like that's on their plans, though."
[Location: HC Clements]
Despite the worry, though, she does find herself smiling, just a little. "I knew you'd still be around. I don't think anyone's looking for you, but of course they wouldn't tell me about that," she had to admit.
Re: [Location: HC Clements]
He gives her a return smile, even if it hurts his lip a bit. "Yeah, they're probably trying to see if someone will lead them to me. Fortunately, though, I don't think anyone knows where HC Clements came from, or who brought it with them."
He gestures to the cart. "Come on, I've got something to show you."

After the attack [Location: Rose's house]
She's rummaging through the pantry for something to eat when she hears a noise upstairs. Almost certain it's not Donna she grabs a cricket bat from the coat closet and starts up the stairs quietly. It's obvious there's someone in the bedroom rooting around. With the extras acting the way they are, there's no guarantee it's not one of them. She cocks the bat over her shoulder and toes the door open.
"Doctor?"
Alright, not an extra.
Re: After the attack [Location: Rose's house]
"Hi," he says, pathetically.

[location: a flat in Shelley, then HC Clements]
They'd a long history of cryptic notes. Wait was a popular one, although his favourite was still Meet me in St. Louis, which had turned out to be a bar in London. This, though...well, the woods were right out, there might be wolves there, or monsters with clock faces, or any number of other arboreal horrors. So the next day Fitz made his way to the nice safe office building. He wished he could have smoked as he walked, but every time he reached for his Woodbines it seemed an Extra was glaring at him.
Via much hurrying and varying his route he arrived without incident, and peered about for any obvious shenanigans.
Re: [location: a flat in Shelley, then HC Clements]
"Find out anything?"
[location: HC Clements]
Fitz ruffled his shaggy hair and sighed. "Yeah, found out this town's got a ruddy great 'no smoking' sign on it now, but that's probably not what you're interested in." He reached into the inside pocket of his jacket and retrieved a small stack of Polaroid pictures, which he held out to the Doctor. "There was a room in Sanctuary I'm pretty sure was his, had all this tech stuff in it. Most of it looked like scrap to me but you're the expert."
