[ guess who's now seated at a secluded corner in caritas, with her head on the table and nursing a huge bottle of alcohol on her own.

no, really. guess. ] Oh, who cares about... broody, stupid vamps when I've got you... [ she grabs the bottle and reads: ] Mr. Voodoo Tiki Tequila. Mmm. You're now my new best friend, 'kay?

She pats his arm again. "You're not alone," Cordelia tells him. "Why do you think Angel and I both stayed?"

"Gotta say I'm glad you did. Sounds like the place beyond the tunnels is a real Twilight Zone." He finishes off his glass of tequila.

"Was it? I never really asked." Because those she could ask, came back in a coma, and near-coma with the worrying about the one in a coma. "What did they find in there anyway?"

He shrugs. "Not sure, exactly. There's another city down there, but I guess it must be abandoned. Ghost town."

Cordelia throws her hands up. "Oh, I knew it. I knew it'll be pointless to actually go there," she says vehemently. "Who knows, maybe that whole thing with the tunnels is just them trying to trick us. Not like they've been straightforward to us about anything."

"I don't think they wanted us to go down there," Lorne says slowly. "Remember when there was that broadcast with the nice soothing Morgan Freeman voice? They seemed to think of everything that happened as a mistake. Something they didn't want to happen." He shrugs. "Maybe it's just another lie, who knows."

"Or maybe they're trying to... I don't know, lull us into feeling a false sense of security, or something." She grabs the bottle and drinks from it again. "Ugh, I hate thinking. My brain hurts just from trying to."

"Definitely not in a thinking mood right now. More in the mood for another word that rhymes with thinking. Speaking of which, hold on a minute." He goes up to the bar and collects the two margaritas waiting for him and Cordy and brings them back to the table. "Buffy's a bit of a rookie at mixing drinks, but anything's gotta be better than raw tequila."

"You might be right," she says, eagerly reaching for the margarita. Cordelia takes a sip and makes a face. "...okay, I take it back. What is this stuff?"

Lorne tries it for himself, and his face falls. "In theory? A margarita. In practice?" He takes another sip. "More like a lemon drop martini with extra sour. I guess Casey didn't get this far in Buffy's cocktail education."

Cordelia drops her glass to the table and pushes it away. "Yeeeeah. I think I'll stick with my icky tequila." But she doesn't move to take the bottle - yet.

"Casey?" she asks. "Oh, you mean that huge guy who was delivering oxygen tanks with Spike when things were on the verge of going to hell?"

Lorne decides to take his chances with the margarita. After all, Sea Breezes are pretty sour, and this isn't that much more. He adds a drop of Tara's endrunkening potion and sets to it, ignoring the burn of a bit too much alcohol in the mix.

"Yep, that's the fella. He's my other bartender, and he's a real dab hand with the drinks. You'll have to come back when he's behind the bar." He heaves a sigh. "Though he hasn't been to work since...you know."
