Alright, enough of this Broodier Side of the Force crap. I'm bored.

It's a wonder none of you have keeled over from lack of excitement. Sure, there was the whole zombiepocalypse thing, but what did that really accomplish? Nothing but a few cases of trauma here and there. Don't get me wrong, I love a good few rounds of quality mind fuckery, but why lite the bonfire if you're just going to douse the flames and make the forest all shiny and new again?

Unfortunately. An annoying, obsessive thorn in my side for the past 145 years. Long story, but suffice to say I hold no special fondness for him these days. Which is more than can be said of the opposite.

[ there's a pause as katherine thinks about the significance of damon's involvement. ]

Our kind keeps a low profile. So far only a select few in Taxon know about us being vampires. He can be a fool, but Damon isn't about to openly expose himself, I promise you that. If he's chummying up to you, then he's working on some angle for his own gain. Keep an eye out. He can be craftier than he looks, sometimes.

[ katherine hesitates for a moment as she considers whether or not to come clean about stefan. she doesn't care about damon and is more than willing to provide angelus with more ammo against him, but she doesn't want stefan to become a chess piece on angelus' game board. ]

Stefan is... unlikely to be a problem. His priority will be keeping his dull little girlfriend safe from the big bad vampire on the prowl.

[ a bit of a scoff there at the girlfriend mention, but the smirk in katherine's tone as she changes the subject does not exactly imply a normal, polite conversation. ]

You know, I could always have a... casual little chat with Damon, if you'd like. See if I can get an idea about his intentions. I can be very persuasive.

[ angelus was no fool, he suspected there was more to stefan salvatore than katherine was letting on, but he didn't pursue it. as long as stefan kept to himself, angelus didn't care. and while damon was proving to be annoying, he wasn't enough of a thorn in his side to prompt him to fuck with stefan to get to damon. he follows her subject change with ease, noting her tone. ]
