[audio / locked from Angelus and Dru] / [location: ALL OVER]

After having spent a long time just trying to keep people safe and work on the stupid ritual while insane vamp number two ran around town on the loose, Willow was feeling... not quite the happiest. Her glitch was bad enough. The zombies almost right after had made her feel like the aliens were punishing her for her stupid magic going crazy. Now this? This made her feel like a combination of retribution owed her and worried that it was tempting her too far. Scuffing her foot at the floor of her room, she tried again, chanting the stupid spell in Latin and willing the Orb to start glowing and doing its magic mojoy thing.

"Argh!" she yelled, stomping on the ground and sending Colette fleeing for her life under the bed.

Knowing she was going to end up doing what Dawn had said she'd wanted to do eventually - which was throw one of the Orbs at the nearest wall and watch it shatter into a thousand glistening pieces - Willow grabbed her bag of books and orbs and everything else she needed for this spell and headed out of the room.

Her first stop was to find Tara. She remembered something about food and drink, but after all the attempts at the Ritual of Restoration, she couldn't quite come up with what had happened when and where Tara had said she'd be. For all Willow knew, Tara was just outside the room. Or she might be at Tamper and Trick or the Library again.

Next stop was to see this tomb. Maybe being closer to where Angelus was trapped would help her concentrate better. Stupid aliens and their stupid rules and stupid glitches. With all this crazy stuff going on, she almost missed Sunnydale. At least Sunnydale's logic usually had rules to go with it. Taxon's logic just seemed to be screw with the lab rats until they all scream bloody murder and claw at each other.

Or get zombified. Whatever worked.

Eventually, she pulls out her tablet and makes an audio feed. "Okay. Head count. How is everyone doing? No one's gone off and died on us, right?"

Forgive her for being frank, Taxon; she's not so amused. She will also apologize for her glitch... later. Not feeling it currently.

Once Angelus has been captured in the tomb, Willow will make it over to the church ruins she'd been directed towards to figure out how the hell to keep going from here. There's the Ritual. And then there's opening the seal. And that... that will be tricky.

And requires another post. "So, uh... Taxon... any mojo-y people out here got a little energy to spare?"

The place gives her the creeps, but then again, she's been to many, many places in Sunnydale that have given her this kind of feeling. The war down under the Intiative's base was definitely one of them. Setting up camp down under there, she stares at the walls and sighs.

"Okay, Tara... I guess it's back to work, huh?"

[ooc: OKAY. SO, this is the Angelus got trapped in a tomb, what the hell do we do now post. Basically, Willow and Tara will be tag teaming the Ritual of Restoration until it finally works. As far as encountering Willow: she can be reached on the tablets at any of the two points, just be sure to mark it in the subject line so I can be sure which it is XD I AM EASILY CONFUSED. She can also be encountered in person after she leaves Castle Summers and any time after that, including reaching the tomb. There may also be a wild Tara involved here, too.

Angelus will get re-ensouled during this post, too, so there may be a thread for that stemming out of Tara and Willow getting frantic |D

If you want to meet up with Willow at some point at the tomb, that's fine, too. I am pretty much flexible. She will just be pretty focused until Angelus gets his soul back.

Questions, etc, feel free to ask here or on the planning post which I will now go track! XD]

Angelus paces back and forth, deep within the tomb, farther back than anyone dares to go-- not that anyone's tried to step foot in here. He doesn't handle restlessness well and what patience he had has already worn thin. They took his tablet when they dumped him in here, left him without any means of entertaining himself and there's the lingering smell of decaying flesh in this place that makes him hungrier than he already is. If only one of those mindless natives would wander in here to clean or whatever the hell it was they did when they were following the whims of their simplistic, one track minds. He was so hungry, he'd even eat one of them and they tasted dull and unsavory; as boring inside as they were outside.

Hearing the rustling of leaves from the entrance, he stops pacing and moves back down the long, tunnel-like hallway that leads to the doorway. Casually-- perhaps a little too casually for someone who allowed themselves to be tricked by Damon Salvatore and trapped in this tomb-- he leans against the barrier, the invisible palisade that denied him exit holding him up. He listens to the footsteps as they descended the stairs.

Katherine had suspected in the back of her mind that Angelus' brashness and dislike for subtlety might not dip the scales to his favor, but had kept silent about it. Angelus didn't seem like the type to accept advice that wasn't his own. The goody two-shoes of Taxon, especially the crowd from his home world, had been in red alert mode since his public post last week. While she'd taken care not to be seen or heard to associate with the other vampire in public, Katherine had greatly enjoyed the hysteria he had managed to stir up in the masses. She was all for that kind of entertainment, but also knew it would likely not be put up with for long. The problem with Angelus was the very same thing that made him so interesting; he was too wild, he simply didn't care.

She lingers a moment in front of the church ruins before making her way down, making sure nobody else is around and to sneer at the loathsome thing. She can already hear the distinctly restless movements from within as she descends, hitching up the strap of her bag on her shoulder and letting her own steps stir the leaves and twigs underfoot to signal her presence. She halts a respectable distance away from the unseen barrier at the mouth of the tomb - once bitten, twice shy - and plants her hands on her hips in demonstration of the universal female pose of displeasure.

"Really?" she sighs in exasperation, both at the fact that Angelus had gotten himself trapped in the tomb, and that the damned tomb was in Taxon in the first place.

When he gets out of here, he's going to rip Damon Salvatore limb from limb. Maybe make good use of that chainsaw he's been meaning to try a few things with. Angelus has admittedly missed the torture, the blood and the gore and the screams, and seeing how much a vampire of Damon's caliber could take could prove to be interesting. Those thoughts are shoved to the back of his mind, however, when he catches wind of Katherine's scent a moment before she speaks up. He would've caught on to it sooner if the stench of dessicating bodies that weren't even present in the tomb weren't driving his hypersensitive nose batty.

"Talk to your childe," he chides, growling low in the back of his throat to further emphasis his displeasure with this whole situation.

When she arrives, it is with folded arms. Controlled. Careful. Seeing him face to face is a thing she has to do -- that frustrated, angry part of her is left dissatisfied by playing audience to Damon's work. Buffy will never admit it to most people but she had wanted to sink her fists so badly into this situation.

Maybe seeing him caged up would make the difference. Provide her with something.

"Is it because you miss this face or just enjoy torturing yourself that much with your whole lack of doing anything to get me in here," Angelus taunts, smirking at her as if he's unphased by being trapped in a tomb. (Protip: He's not. He hates it.) "Bravo, by the way. I'm impressed, Buff. Hasn't even gotten in your pants and he's already whipped and doing your dirty work for you."

What are you feelings about not-quite-rescue attempts?

[identity profile] a-pretty-fire.livejournal.com 2011-03-17 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"I never went away."

He left. He left and the Angel Beast returned and, whenever they reached an equilibrium of sorts, their positions would reserve and they'd all tumble down like nine pins.

Drusilla remained loyal. Drusilla waited. She would have told him that Damon was trouble, if he'd given her the chance. Probably. She'd never been pulled apart like this before. It had always been him. Her sire. Her Daddy. She turned to him automatically, abandoning everything else - anyone else - whenever he clicked his fingers. But she loved the Angel Beast as well. She hadn't realised how much. She hadn't realised how far he'd burrowed inside over the last few months.

She missed Angelus when he was locked away and she missed the Angel Beast when he'd been pushed to the side. It was enough to make her head spin.

my feelings on this is that it is excellent~

"You never do," Angelus agreed, grinning with as close as someone sitting on the edge of this much darkness can get to 'brightly'.

What went unsaid is that he knew she couldn't. Angelus had ensured that when he'd tortured and shaped her mind for his own purposes (and largely amusement, it had been something to occupy his time with back when that had escalated into an obsession and fascination with not only her sight, but her endurance, her determination and just how much it took to finally break her). She was his; he'd made her his. Spike had hated him for that-- not that Angelus cared.

"Did you bring me anything, my sweet?"

Good ^_^

You had to do it last time, so hopefully you can just help with the knowing-y-ness, right? You've earned a bit of a break, if you want one.

[She's not at all trying to keep Dawn out; after all, of the three of them (four, with DG), Tara's not one of the two who's proven she has the juice to make this spell work. But Dawn still brings out her best protective instincts, and she's had an extra rough time lately.]

Tara had been waiting outside the room, but eventually, decided that hovering was counterproductive and retreated with some books to Tamper and Trick. The trouble was that none of the books had been written with Taxon's particular quirks in mind, and those quirks were the problem.

She looked up, when Willow came in search of her, and beckoned her girlfriend in with a worried smile. "No luck then, huh?"

"Poor thing," she said, gently. "But that's how it was last time. The ritual didn't work for a while, and then, suddenly, it did. We think it's the aliens, but it doesn't make a lot of sense."

"The trapping is great though - I mean, not great, it's terrible he lost his soul again, but it's g-good he won't hurt anyone."
