07 [Location | Visual | Open] On The Prowl
"Well, Isis, I think it is time for us to find a place to live. Maybe a real place to live for awhile instead of this bouncing around from place to place." Selina doesn't notice that the tablet is on but the little black cat on her shoulder seems it. She jumps down and bats at the thing, knocking it down onto the floor. After it stops bouncing on the floor, it shows Selina packing a small bag. Looking up, she looks at what Isis is doing and seems amused.
"We're going to be here for more than a few weeks, so we might as well find a nice place to live - see if maybe we can enjoy it."
The rest of you, Taxon, are treated to the visual of being a cat toy for the next thirty seconds before the visual cuts out again. Through out the day, Selina will be exploring new places to live through out Taxon. It will also be an excuse to stop in and visit some other people. There is a Sherlock to bother, a Tony to chat with, a Logan to drink with and any other number of people to bother.
[OOC: This post is a catchall for anyone who wants to talk to Selina post-dinos! Or, you know, if you want to complain about being treated to a cat toy video.

"Now why doesn't that surprise me?" he returns. Cat burglar types ain't exactly known for being the settling type.
"That ain't the kinda forward I get, rest easy," he adds, perhaps leaving the door ajar towards some other kinds of forward down the line.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"I'll keep that in mind, though I'm still not entirely sure about moving in. Mostly since I haven't decided on anything yet. I thought it would be nice to look at everything again at the right height."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"I suppose if you're thinkin' of movin' in, I should show you what's downstairs," he offers - with a tone suggesting that's more of a dare in response to the short crack than a friendly thing.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"I think that might be a good idea."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
Logan makes an effort to see if Isis will let him carry her once he moves to stand up straight again.
"Although this girl might want to find something else to do in the meantime. Pretty sure we've got some cat food somewhere in the kitchen."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"I'm sure she'd appreciate a warm place to be, especially if it has food."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"Plenty of that to be had. This place is built to handle a menagerie pretty well."
With that, he leads Selina into the house, and the kitchen, shuffling about a bit until he locates where they pet food is kept, and he puts some out for the kitty. He even gets the traditional saucer of milk. Luckily, he actually DOES have milk in a fridge stocked mostly with beer and meat.
"Make yerself at home, kit. Yer mom'll be back in a little while."
Then he stands once again, and walks away past Selina with a smirk.
"Probably," he jokes, before leading her to the elevator in the landing.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"You're not scaring me, old man."
She's more curious than anything right this moment, though there is that odd thrill of whatever she's being led toward is likely filled with danger - of some sort.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"Although I could always bust out some clown make-up and change that," he adds, before the elevator doors open at the top of the stairwell, leading her in.
Once they reach the sub-sub-sub basement, the doors open to an extremely antiseptic hallway with metallic corridors and fluorescent lighting tinged with blue. A high-tech military bunker style of architecture. And Logan heads off down one of the hallways.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"This place really is a compound, isn't it?"
[Location: Jean Grey School]
As if on cue, there's a thunderous noise down the hallway to the left, and Logan stops short. On alert.
He sniffs the air, and the claws pop out.
"Stay here," he says, before bolting down the hallway and disappearing through a set of open doors.
Knowing full well she probably won't stay there for long.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
Right. She leans against the hallway wall and does wait. For a bit. But, really, this is boring and it doesn't seem a very sound place to stay, in the middle of the open, if there /is/ some sort of weirdness going on down here.
Trying to look more casual than she feels, she follows toward where Logan went.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
But there's another heavy rumble, with a metallic echo to it. When she walks in, the doors close behind her.
After a moment of darkness, it's as if she's stepped through a portal to somewhere else. A beach somewhere - a coastline.
And a giant purple robot stomping its way out of the ocean in her direction.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
That's a problem.
Selina starts looking for cover - not that there is usually a lot of that on a beach.
