07 [Location | Visual | Open] On The Prowl
"Well, Isis, I think it is time for us to find a place to live. Maybe a real place to live for awhile instead of this bouncing around from place to place." Selina doesn't notice that the tablet is on but the little black cat on her shoulder seems it. She jumps down and bats at the thing, knocking it down onto the floor. After it stops bouncing on the floor, it shows Selina packing a small bag. Looking up, she looks at what Isis is doing and seems amused.
"We're going to be here for more than a few weeks, so we might as well find a nice place to live - see if maybe we can enjoy it."
The rest of you, Taxon, are treated to the visual of being a cat toy for the next thirty seconds before the visual cuts out again. Through out the day, Selina will be exploring new places to live through out Taxon. It will also be an excuse to stop in and visit some other people. There is a Sherlock to bother, a Tony to chat with, a Logan to drink with and any other number of people to bother.
[OOC: This post is a catchall for anyone who wants to talk to Selina post-dinos! Or, you know, if you want to complain about being treated to a cat toy video.

He has yet to find a place that does not feel innately wrong. And so he takes to the streets again, even though being out in such unnatural surroundings feels the wrongest of all. When he passes by Selina in the street, he pauses and turns, watching her.
"That is a lovely cat."

"You're new, aren't you?"
no subject
"I am." He offers an uncertain smile. "I'm Metody."

"Do you live here?"

"You really /are/ new, aren't you?"

"I am. I guess - very new."

[Location: Central]
He finds a shop with indoor seating and sits down with his lunch, debating whether to go back to bed once he gets home. It's very difficult to muster the motivation to keep normal hours here, particularly when he found it difficult to muster in the first place even living in a functioning ecosystem and a real economy. He doesn't expect to be interrupted here, not here surrounded by Extras with his map dot hidden.
Of course, Taxon's just full of surprises.
[Location: Central]
Selina sides down at the table with Sherlock. It seems she's not interested in conversation, at least not yet, as she starts to eat her own lunch in silence. Isis slides down off of Selina's shoulders, though, and moves over toward Sherlock before nudging his hand, looking for scritches behind the ears.
Or food.
But attention is probably better as a start.
[Location: Central]
Sherlock ruffles Isis's head and scratches under her chin, then picks out a scrap of meat from his sandwich and flicks it to the floor under his chair. Then he picks up a nonsense Extra newspaper from the counter next to him and opens it, like he's remotely interested in the news on a good day, much less the imaginary news on a meaningless one. He completely ignores Selina. Two can play at this game.
[Location: Central]
Selina, however, is working on the first half of her sandwich as if she hasn't had anything to eat all day. And maybe yesterday, either. The newspaper, however, gets her attention and she laughs. She laughs in a delighted way that is a little too loud for in public politeness but it doesn't seem that she cares about that.
"You'll have to tell me which non-existant sportsball team won yesterday."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
At the moment, Logan's carrying a beer around the school grounds, which are a bit different without Krakoa underneath it tending to itself, and he's starting to wonder if he'll have to find a way to get some of these robot people to work as groundskeepers. Not to mention house cleaners for inside this place. Shit'll get dusty too quick in a place this big.
Then again, Logan might get bored enough spend all his damn time with a feather-duster.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
Selina seems amused by her joke but not overly so. This time, she has a sleek black cat with her.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"That's what they keep tellin' me. They don't strap me down, I keep wanderin' off," he quips back, before nodding to the cat.
"Ya movin' in, then?"
[Location: Jean Grey School]
Isis perks up looking at him, from her perch on Selina's shoulders. She's not in the catsuit, in an oversized suit jacket, a t-shirt and some leggings or something like that. The sleek little cat seems interested in Logan, though not enough to cross the distance between them just this moment.
"I'm not entirely certain about the whole living at your place, even if it isn't all your place."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
But that hesitation gets him to raise an eyebrow at her... and then he just smirks.
"Don't worry. I ain't proposin' yet."
[Location: Jean Grey School]
Isis leaps off of her shoulder and approaches Logan's feet hesitantly, as if trying to understand what his deal is, exactly.
[Location: Jean Grey School]
"Now why doesn't that surprise me?" he returns. Cat burglar types ain't exactly known for being the settling type.
"That ain't the kinda forward I get, rest easy," he adds, perhaps leaving the door ajar towards some other kinds of forward down the line.

He's admiring the lights on a decorative arch when he notices a terrifyingly familiar sprig, dark green leaves and pale berries tied with a red ribbon.
"Oh cripes," he mutters and backs away quickly. Mistletoe'd once, shame on him. Twice? Shame on the aliens. And even if the plant's not actively making folks smooch this year he's trying to not take any chances.
no subject
"Are you allergic to mistletoe?" The jade green eyes sparkle with amusement as she asks the question.
no subject
"Sorry, sorry, ah....more concerned about what it can do," he replies once they're all steadied. "One of the aliens' more favorite pranks during this season, seeing how many folks they can make smooch."
Pause. "Though it doesn't seem to be working now. Hi."
no subject
"I don't think we've really met. Not truly."
no subject
"No, not formally. Seen you on the tablet a couple times though. Selina, right?"
Noooo he doesn't sometimes creep on people's conversations why would you ever suggest that.
