"All right, I'll try and make this quick:"

Glitch? Getting to the point in a reasonable amount of time? Is it possible?

"For those who don't know me: my name's Glitch, I'm that guy who's been here since forever and kinda know the most about all the...stuff that goes on here. Sorta."

No, no it is not.

"Anyway, ah...I've been studying the lighthouse and found some peculiarities with the light-beam thingy which I wanna discuss with everyone. Or most of you, if you can make it. Plus there was that whole hanging out and having drinks thing which I mentioned before all the stuff north of the river happened-- hey we can talk about that too."

Yeah he is taking notes now, all frowny and confuzzled.

"Right! Unless you've got something drastic going on, let's meet at the Black Friar after sundown for the...sunlight-avoidant. First round of drinks is on me. See you later."

Science, right. Lighthouse, okay. People yelling in...Emma will guess German, whatever. She has other concerns, ones she feels safest asking Selina about. So she settles down next to her, beer in hand, and nods to the little gathering.

"So. Any idea why this place is such a sausagefest?"

"I have no damn idea," Selina says shaking her head. "It's you, me and... Madelyne, right? Am I missing anyone in that? I always feel like I'm not entirely sure who is here at any point."

"That's...creepy." Not even knowing who's there and who's not? Yeah, no, totally rubs her wrong. Emma looks around again, eyeing first Metody, then Bagoas before returning her attention to Selina. "Though I guess not all of them are manly men."

Gurl, stahp.

"All the same I think I'll stay over here, if that's okay."

"Feel free. I'm not likely to stop you and I could use with someone around I don't feel like smacking," Selina says obviously a little surly about this whole meeting. It isn't that she doesn't appreciate what Glitch is attempting to do but it really feels like the meeting is sort of scattered at best.

"So, what's your thing?"

"You and me both," Emma replies with a sigh. It's her first chance to really get a good look at everyone and te context is basically adding up to a whole lot of nope.

"My thing? Oh, right, weirdness: Snow White and Prince Charming are my parents because apparently fairy tales are true stories from the next universe over. Like five minutes after I started believing that I got zapped here. What's yours?"

"Well, I thought I'd heard everything."

Selina thinks over it for a few moments before responding, "I'm an internationally wanted cat-burglar who has an on and off again thing with one of the richest men in the world."

And doesn't that sound a little ridiculous when said outloud?

Emma's eyes widen a little and she nods, impressed.

"Nice work if you can get it," she remarks. "Though it does awkwardly put us on opposite sides of the law. Before all the fairy tale stuff I tracked down bail-skippers, then kinda ended up as sheriff."

She looks around the room again and wrinkles her nose.

"...and before all that I spent some time in juvie so maybe we're not so different."

"It's fantastic work but, well, it puts me on the other side of a lot of good people. It also helps me piss off a lot of very, very bad people. I take that as a fair trade off," Selina says seeming amused by the idea that they'd be on the opposite sides of anything.

"If you're bored, you can always try to arrest me."

Emma snorts and shakes her head, has another sip of her drink. "Nah, I think I'm out of the law enforcement biz."

She's only sorta fallen into it anyway, plus she was way outranked by Smecker the Fed.

"Just don't touch any of my stuff and we'll be fine."

"You missed that. I tried that when I first got here. It didn't really make me any friends, but, ehn, I've got bigger things to worry about," Selina says with a small smile.
