033: [visual] contrary to the common belief, he's not dead

Oh, look, a visual that's not accidental for once. Dean doesn't do very many of these, but honestly, he's bored out of his freaking mind, he's tired of lurking around Buffy's castle feeling sorry for himself (or at least, he's ready to pretend like he is), and he needs some fresh air. So, Dean's rolling out of bed, turning on his tablet as he does.

"Yeah, alright, look," Dean starts, reaching up and mussing up his hair. "All you oldies out there, the ones that haven't been coming in like herds of sheep. Gimme a call. I wanna know who's still here."

There's a pause as Dean yawns widely, and rather rudely, into the tablet. Then he continues.

"For the rest of you, lemme give you some advice. Don't piss off the vampires. And if you're a vampire, just try me. I got a crossbow for Christmas and I haven't got the chance to use it yet."

Good job, Dean, way to greet the locals with your charm and grace.

"Yeah, we got a freakin' community of 'em." Dean looks entirely nonplussed with the situation. "And with the sense of humor this place has, I wouldn't be surprised if the aliens were screwing with us."

She will have to see if there's an entry on vampires in The Book of Shadows, considering she and her sisters have yet to meet one - let alone an entire community of them. This guy seems to think that crossbows can kill them, so Piper makes a mental note of that.

"Do we have other types of demons in this place, or are they all vampires?"

Crossbows can kill Buffy's type of vampires. Dean's own vampires have different rules, and so do the other kinds, like Godric's kind and Levi's kind, so he's not even sure about that much. If Piper asks, he'll explain it; the more people aware, the better.

"Not as far as I know," Dean replies. He'd usually ask Castiel, but... "But types of demons are different from place to place. I'm guessing you got demons back home?"

They are? Well. Of course. Not like people here are from one place, after all, so it makes sense that the enemies are of different types, too.

Piper shrugs. "Yeah. Shapeshifters and killers and hairy monsters and whatnot. I'm hoping I didn't bring any with me, though."

"... You got a tendency of bringing 'em with you?" Dean asks, raising an eyebrow.

"It was a joke," she says, feeling embarrassed now. "A very, very lame joke - you know what, why don't we just both forget I even said that?"
