Hercules is planning to merely speak about how he is adjusting well to his new environment. He smiles to his tablet, opens his mouth, and proceeds to sing.

Herc blinks at the tablet. And then proceeds to just laugh and give a thumbs-up.

"I was merely going to share how I am not downtrodden by my capture, and that I do believe that we all must make the best of our lives here," Herc explains.

"...apparently my subconscious doth have certain ideas as to how I might improve my situation."

"That's what we're already trying to do," DG pointed out. It wasn't easy in Taxon - their hamster hosts were always doing their best to throw them off balance, after all - but it was better than wallowing in misery.

"Do you have any suggestions? Apart from the thing your subconscious is fixated on?"

"Friendship," Hercules says. "One need not having a physical relationship to be something important. Amadeus and I are such an example."

He misses Amadeus. There is a flicker of a frown on his face.

She couldn't miss the frown, as much as it surprised her. Her amused expression softened.

"I'll be your friend," she offered, then: "Who's Amadeus?"

"My best friend and traveling companion," Herc says, his frown switching to a smile. "He claims he is the seventh smartest mortal on earth. But I think he often shorts himself."

"Only seventh, huh?" DG asked, before laughing. "Even seventh is pretty impressive."

Glitch was - or had been, it was a little complicated - the smartest person in the O.Z, but, given the differences in technology and magic, a comparison wouldn't have been fair.
