[action: location: sanctuary hallways]
Being cooped up in the Sanctuary didn't do Rose any favours. If she was able to go outside the building and escape, then she wouldn't feel this trapped. It also meant that she could feed on the animals in order to satisfy her hunger. Rose still felt sick; she was pale, clammy and her vision was clouded. The pain was beyond unbearable and she knew that it would continue like this until she was put out of her misery.
Opening the door of her room, Rose ventured outside into the hallway and headed towards the kitchen. She knew that there was blood there from keeping an eye on the network and maybe it would be enough for now. To keep her from hurting people. When she got there, she realised that most of it was gone. Letting out a roar of anger, Rose slammed her fist on the counter, cracking it a little before she fell to the ground, willing herself not to think about what was happening to her.
Then she heard something. A voice. It was a little far away from her but it was distinctive.
Katherine.
That bitch.
Rose had wanted to confront her ever since she arrived in Taxon and now she had the opportunity to. Katherine would pay for what she did. She deserved it. Pushing herself up from the floor, Rose headed out of the kitchen, snarling as she did, determined to find the other vampire. Her fangs were bared and she was furious, prowling around the halls of the sanctuary, with one singular goal in mind.
Find Katherine and make her suffer.
Rose was adamant in her search for Katherine, not caring who came across her path. It kept her focused and made it easier for her not to slip into the inevitable madness. She was in so much pain and feral; just like she was back in Mystic Falls when she killed those three people at the high school. Sometimes, she lapsed in and out of hallucinations, seeing things that weren't there as well as hearing them. Rose pushes those thoughts away and continues to look, listening out for any signs of the other vampire.
Little did she know that it was Elena that she was stalking instead.
((ooc: And so begins the second and last part of Rose's glitch! Have fun!))

"Lies. All of it. You're going to pay for what you did." Her eyes flash with anger. "I'd be doing this city a favour by getting rid of you. All you ever do is manipulate and hurt people."

But it's no good. Elena doesn't know what's wrong with Rose, but there's clearly no reasoning with her right now. So she turns in the other direction and starts running through the halls, as fast as her feet can take her.
She really hopes that that's not the only elevator in the building.

The chase was always a thrilling part of the hunt for Rose and this wasn't any different for her. She was determined to catch her prey and do what she promised. But a little taunting and mind games were always fun to do first.

"You can only run for so long, you know," she calls out into the darkened library, a hint of danger in her tone.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
Elena hears Rose's threat and presses a hand to her mouth, trying to keep herself from sobbing or even breathing too loudly. She's being very quiet, as quiet as she can possibly be, but with a vampire Rose's age, it may not be enough. Her breathing sounds too loud to her, her heartbeat is thundering in her ears, it's almost deafening -
Wait.
Maybe that'll work. Being too quiet, Rose will be lead right to her, but if she makes a lot of noise...maybe she can trick her. Maybe she can get away. There's no one else in the library, aside from her and the vampire, so she can knock things over - maybe a shelf - to make some noise without worrying about hurting someone.
She doesn't try the shelf, not yet. But there is a cart not too far away, and Elena takes a quick look around before standing and running over to it, turning it over and sending it crashing to the ground, spilling books and papers behind as she runs in the other direction.

She comes to a complete standstill and just listens, trying to figure out where she was; Rose can't hear much except for the heartbeat and the small gasps of breath that Elena was taking.
A loud crash draws Rose out of her thoughts and she immediately runs over to where she heard it, reaching it in about two seconds flat. But no one is there and that's when the vampire realises that it was a distraction to throw her off the trail again. Growling, she looks around and catches a glimpse of Elena running in the opposite direction.
Rose tears off after her, not stopping until she reaches her again.

Ding.
The doors slide open and Elena runs inside, desperately hitting the 'door close' button until they shut.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
She reaches the hallway where the elevator is and sprints down to the end just as the doors shut. Snarling again, she bangs on the metal, scrambling to get the doors open by prising them apart.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
The elevator dings as she figures it out, and she runs out, looking for a place to hide. It's brought her to the floor with the pool, and there aren't a whole lot of options, but there's bound to be somewhere she can hide without detection for a little while.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
Once she's there, Rose stops and listens again, trying to pick up the tiniest of sounds. She was standing in the hallway now and couldn't see anyone around. Quietly, Rose slinks down the hall and continues to listen, hoping to hear some sign.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
Staying in one place is a terrible idea, Rose is probably already on this floor and will be able to track her by her heartbeat and breathing. She moves along as quietly as possible, and eventually comes across a bin filled with pool toys. Making a lot of noise probably won't work as well this time, but it's the only option she can think of, and so, with some effort, she knocks it over before taking off running again.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
Another sound draws Rose's attention to the pool room itself and she runs towards it, seeing the bin crash to the ground and a flash of long, brown hair dashing off in another direction. She wastes no time in tearing after Elena, not ready to let her escape her grasp again.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
And then she trips and hits the floor, crying out in pain as she lands hard on the first landing.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
It's not long until she's caught up with Elena, coming to a stop at the bottom of the staircase. With a vicious snarl, Rose speeds up the stairs and reaches the first landing, noticing the young girl on the ground.
"I knew that I would find you eventually."
Without a moment's pause, Rose grabs Elena by the arm and twists it behind her back so that she couldn't escape. Her free hand cups the side of Elena's head and she pushes it to one side before brushing her hair out of the way. Then the veins appeared below her eyes and her fangs extended, sinking into Elena's neck.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
But before she can protest any further, Rose's fangs sink into her throat. Elena screams as they pierce her skin, trying to make enough noise that someone will come looking for them. It's her only shot.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
And Elena's was sweet and nourishing, just what she needed. Rose was slowly draining the life from her.
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
I'm going to die.
"Stop," she tries, as loud as she can manage (which isn't very loud at this point). "Rose, stop."
forget about guns and forget ammunition;
This wasn't Katherine. It was-
Rose stops drinking immediately, realising what she was doing and who she was attacking. No. No. No. she thought, horrified. She slowly retracts her fangs and lets go of Elena, stepping away from her.
"I'm so sorry, oh God, Elena..."
She's shocked, but the tiny voice inside her head, the disease that was eating at her brain and making her demented told her to pick Elena up and kill her. It took her a few moments to focus before Rose decided what to do.
She ran.
