12 [Location: Central/Josef's place] Party Post
Entrances had been made. The people of Taxon, some of them at least, had arrived. As the sun was setting and casting the room into shadows, the lights began to come up. Twinkling white lights on the balcony around the pool, mood lighting throughout the room to separate the loft into differing areas for different events. Light music played throughout the main room, though at poolside was a section set aside for dancing as well.
Pausing to overlook the affair, for a moment, Josef felt like he was still back home.
Well, minus the bevy of beautiful women offering up a vein at the snap of his fingers. He was still getting used to that loss, which hurt more keenly than most.
((ooc: Come one, come all. Feel free to set up your own posts or use the starter areas. Josef's place is a massive loft, with three separate rooms including a bedroom with an oversized freezer in it. There is also a rooftop pool area with a wide wall overlooking part of the city.))

Bar
"What's your poison," he asked, uncapping a bottle of scotch and pouring himself one.
Bar
She didn't drink while pregnant and then after that, well, there were other things.
Bar
"I would go with fruity and frozen then but since we don't have a blender..." He mixed a couple of things, nothing too rough or too much alcohol as he slid it towards her over the bar. "Sex on the beach? Also, great dress."
Bar
"I didn't pick the dress but thank you, very much for that as well. I hope I'm doing it justice."
Bar
"You are doing it more than justice. You look amazing."
Bar
The compliment causes a blush across her cheeks and down her throat, "Thank you."
Bar
"You will owe me a dance later," he pointed out.
Bar
"Oh will I? I hope you're wearing the right shoes for that, so when I step on your feet, you won't hate me."
Bar
“Don’t have the boots on,” he said with a grin. “But I think I can survive.”
Bar
Bar
"Does it taste okay?"
Bar
The question draws a few blinks from her, "It is fine, Tony. I just can't remember the last time I had a drink. I'm ...." I'm afraid of losing control but I'd like to be able to relax. She can't say it because she's fairly certain it will sound idiotic out loud.
Bar
"Okay then. I can dilute it a bit more, start you out slow," he offered, not meaning it at all as a joke.

"I'll let you know," she says, lifting the glass to toast Tony with a smile.

He held up a hand. "Wait, don't answer that. You know a me I don't know and I'm not sure I want the answer to that."

"Do you make everyone feel like they're playing catch up the entire conversation or am I just one of the lucky ones?"
no subject
He chuckled. “Oh that. You are entirely lucky though I do it to many. Easy advantage. Should I apologize?” Not that he felt he needed to but did she need one.

Madelyne shakes her head, blinking a few times. That didn't help at all, now did it? Well, now she feels just a little more underwater but she's almost beginning not to mind so very much.
"No need to apologize for being who you and making me feel desired, Tony."
no subject
“Right. No apologies and you’re entirely attractive. Which has nothing to do with the dress, I might add,” he said, pouring himself a fresh drink. “Even if the dress does wonderful things.”
no subject
That blush is back at that and she looks down at her drink, instead of up at him. She clears her throat, "Thank you. The dress is lovely."
no subject
"So is the lady in it."
