[visual ] (accidental) / [ location: royal chambers of camelot ]

Arthur is standing on top of a castle turret, against the backdrop of a pure blue sky. He's in full armor, elegantly waving a sword about. It's all very dramatic. It becomes even moreso when the delicate strains of a ballad begin to play, and he starts singing. Sometimes there are theatrical chest-clutching gestures.

♫ When I was a prince in Camelot
I often would get out a lot
The people would line the streets to kiss my haaaaaand
But now I'm in Taxon where language is coarse and--
--seriously would it kill you to put on a corset
I miss the green fields
And the banners and shields of my laaaaand

Oh it's not easy being a prince
Not easy being me
Not easy being ...royalty
Not easy being a prince
Not easy being me

At home I'd have servants
To clean up the vermin...s
But here I must do all the choooores
Morgana gets moody
And talks to me rudely
I rarely get any peace at aaaalllll

Oh it's not easy being a prince
Not easy being me
Not easy being ...royalty
Not easy being a prince
Not easy being me

How I long for the days of hunting and fun
No-one actually realizes this armor weighs a ton
Oh, it's not easy being a priiiiiiiiince.

[There is a laugh. A hearty, meaty laugh]

I did. And I am Hercules, Prince of Olympus!

Then I shall not honor your wish. For embarrassment will pass with time. Your life should not be wasted on such trivialities.

That is brilliant. Oh, it makes my stomach hurt! Do you do anything by the Beatles, too? Can I make a request?

Request away!

And I'd like..."Here Comes The Sun". Do you know that one?

Don't know it? That's all right.

How about "She's So Heavy". That's a favorite of mine.

[ just laughter. and for the record dawn's face is like this, arthur: :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD ]

Morgana, in complete disbelief over what she is hearing, stares up at Arthur on the turret.

At first, all she does is stare, but when he's done singing all she does is continue staring for a good minute, before calling up. "I think I may need to call a physician."

Because either Arthur has been driven insane by Taxon, or she has.

[identity profile] magicalskeptic.livejournal.com 2010-05-05 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
The disbelief continues when Arthur ducks. Is he really hiding? He's not done such a thing since they were children, and one problem with knowing the Royal Chambers as well as they both do, means that the whole seeking part of the game isn't any fun when they both know the best spots to hide.

And sitting behind the wall, just out of view, is not one of them. For a moment, Morgana debates going to him, but as this was such a public display (she may also be reciting the lyrics in her head, to be recorded later in her book), and such a delicious opportunity, she decides against it.

"Arthur, what possibly could have possessed you?"

[identity profile] magicalskeptic.livejournal.com 2010-05-05 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of course, sorcery," Morgana replies with a tone of amusement.

"Did the curse placed upon you also require you to discuss my behaviour in such a public forum?" The question and tone sound innocent, but they are far from it. While the event must have been mortifying for Arthur, he declared her "moody" and rude, so she's not feeling the least bit sorry for him.

Yes, he is not going to get 'any peace at all' over those particular lyrics.

[identity profile] magicalskeptic.livejournal.com 2010-05-05 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"I believe I said you discussed it. I never said I agreed with your assessment. Perhaps it was simply the sorcery that forced you to say such things."

Since they tried, albeit, last month, the idea of being kind to one another, for as long as such things last, Morgana gives him an opportunity. Granted, it will be his only opportunity to get out of what will be a rather lengthy and vicious argument.

She's even willing to send him on one very long guilt trip.
